1.Instruction
Project1
For Project 1, we are required to create an instructable infographic poster based on a recipe from the Pasta Grannies YouTube channel. The aim of this project is to present the ingredients and cooking process in a clear and visually interesting way.
For my project, I chose Ricotta Ravioli with Tomato Sauce, made by Grandma Fiorina. I chose this recipe because I think the handmade pasta-making process is interesting and suitable for an infographic poster.
I plan to use simple illustrations, soft colours, and clear step-by-step instructions to help viewers understand how to make the dish. I also want to create a warm and traditional Italian cooking atmosphere in my design.

2.1.1 week4
I. Introduction
In Week 4, we started working on Project 1, which is to create an instructable infographic poster based on a recipe from the Pasta Grannies YouTube channel.
For this project, we need to choose a recipe and organize the ingredients and cooking process into a clear visual design.
II. Process
Recipe Research
Select Recipe — Ricotta Ravioli with Tomato Sauce
Cultural Context
Ravioli is a traditional Italian pasta dish made with thin pasta dough and different fillings. It is commonly prepared at home and reflects the tradition of handmade Italian cooking. The recipe I selected uses ricotta cheese filling and tomato sauce.

Pasta Grannies – Easy Ricotta Ravioli with Tomato Sauce!
Reason for Selection
I chose this recipe because I enjoy Italian food and I think the process of making handmade ravioli is interesting. The recipe can be divided into different stages, including preparing the dough, making the filling, shaping the ravioli, and cooking it. These steps can be clearly presented through illustrations, making the recipe suitable for an instructable infographic poster.
I started by researching the recipe and collecting information about its ingredients and cooking process. I also included screenshots from the video to introduce Grandma Fiorina and show the finished dish.
Next, I organized the ingredients into three categories: Pasta Dough, Ricotta Filling, and Tomato Sauce. I also divided the cooking instructions into four sections: Preparation, Cooking Process, Assembly, and Serving.
After collecting the information, I used Canva to design my proposal. I chose a warm cream background, brown typography, and food-related illustrations to create a traditional Italian cooking atmosphere. I tried to keep the colours and layout consistent throughout the presentation.
Finally, I completed the first five pages of my proposal, including the cover, project objectives, recipe selection, ingredients, and cooking process.

III. Reflection
Through this week's work, I learned that organizing information is an important part of creating an infographic poster. Before starting the final design, I need to understand the recipe and arrange the information clearly.
One of the challenges was organizing the ingredients and cooking steps because the recipe contains several different parts. I also spent some time adjusting the layout and typography to make the proposal look consistent.
I am quite satisfied with the overall design because the warm colours and illustrations match the Italian food theme. I also think the information is easier to understand after dividing it into different categories.
In the following weeks, I plan to continue developing my moodboard, colour palette, typography, and layout sketches for the final infographic poster.

2.2.1 week4
I. Introduction
For Project 2, we were required to work in a group to create a kinetic typography animation based on a selected song.
Our group, Group 1 (Stitch), chose the song Stitches by Shawn Mendes. The song expresses the pain and emotional struggle after a breakup, so we wanted to use typography, movement, and visual effects to represent these emotions.
For this project, we first prepared a group proposal to establish our design direction. After that, we divided the lyrics among the group members, and each member was responsible for creating an individual storyboard for their assigned section.
II. Process
1. Group Proposal
First, our group discussed the overall visual direction for the kinetic typography animation.
We prepared a proposal that included the song introduction, lyrics, moodboard, typography, colour palette, and visual references.
We decided to use red, black, white, and neutral colours to create a dramatic and emotional atmosphere. We also explored different typography styles and motion graphic references to find suitable animation effects.
The proposal helped us establish a consistent visual style before starting our individual work.

2. Lyrics Distribution
After completing the group proposal, we divided the song lyrics among the group members.
I was assigned the Bridge section, lines 34–41, which includes repeated phrases about needles, thread, and trying to remove someone from your thoughts.
I thought this section was interesting because the repeated lyrics could be represented through different text movements and visual effects.

3. Individual Storyboard
Next, I started creating my individual storyboard based on my assigned lyrics.
I divided my section into eight frames and planned how the words would appear and move with the music.
I mainly used black, white, and red to match our group's visual direction. I also used blue arrows in my sketches to indicate the movement of the text and other visual elements.
For the opening frames, I designed a needle moving downwards and a red thread passing through the words. I wanted to connect the visuals directly to the lyrics.
For the following frames, I experimented with different text sizes, directions, and movements to emphasize certain words. I also included a silhouette of a person's head to represent the emotional meaning of the song.
Towards the end, I planned to use text replacement, crossing-out effects, and larger typography to make the animation feel more intense.
I added approximate timestamps to the frames to help organize the sequence and timing of the animation.

III. Reflection
Through this project, I learned more about how kinetic typography can combine music, text, and movement to communicate emotions.
One of the challenges was deciding how to animate repeated lyrics without making every scene look the same. I tried to use different movements, text sizes, and visual elements to make each frame more interesting.
I also found that planning the timing was important because the text movements need to match the rhythm of the song.
Creating the storyboard helped me visualize my ideas before starting the actual animation. It also made me think more carefully about transitions between different scenes.
Overall, I am satisfied with my storyboard because it follows our group's visual direction while allowing me to explore my own ideas. In the next stage, I plan to use the storyboard as a guide when creating the kinetic typography animation in After Effects.
